Free Parking Program

The City of San Jose offers FREE parking downtown 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holiday days at the following facilities.  

• First & St. James
  (Corner of First and St. James streets)
• Second & St. James
  (Northwest corner of Second & St. James streets, across from St. James Park)
• Central Place Lot
  (80 E. San Fernando Street, just north of San Jose Repertory Theatre)
• San Fernando & South Second
  (30 E. San Fernando St.)
• Paviiion Garage
  (150 S. Second St., just south of San Fernando Street)
• Third Street Garage (95 N. Third St., just north of Santa Clara Street)
• Market/San Pedro Square Garage (45 N. Market St., between Santa Clara and St. John streets)
• Fourth Street Garage (44 S. Fourth St., at San Fernando Street across from the Dr. Martin Luther King., Jr. Library)
• Second & San Carlos Street Garage (280 S. Second Street, also accessible from South Third Street)

Be sure to take advantage of parking validations offered by many downtown businesses.

IN ADDITION:  The South First Area (SoFA) lot under Interstate 280 at South First Street offers FREE parking weeknights after 6 p.m. and all day Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
